It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we mourn the passing of our beloved Sheila Lambert.
For over a decade, Sheila - the founding Chair of the Friends of Israel Story - was the most loyal of friends, the wisest of confidantes and the fiercest of champions. Epitomizing the true essence of Tikkun Olam, Sheila modeled hope and positivity and taught us countless lessons about what it means to be an active and engaged member of society.
Observing Sheila and her endless energy was a masterclass in understanding what happens when wisdom, generosity, care and ambition turn into civic leadership. Sheila was the driving force behind all that we've accomplished here at Israel Story, and she will be sorely sorely missed. Her infectious optimism, enthusiasm and "can do" attitude will continue to shape the way we live our lives. Sheila's name will forever be etched in our hearts, and it will be in her name and memory that we will do our best to do good in this world.
May she rest in peace. |
