Israel in Love

‘Israel in Love’ tells the heartwarming yet unexpected stories of Israelis in and out of love. The show explores the inner-workings of ultra-Orthodox matchmaking in Jerusalem, gives voice to a Palestinian-Brooklynite searching for his soulmate in a West Bank refugee camp, and just about everything in between.

Accompanying Artists: ’Israel in Love’ features a story-turned-musical titled “There’s a Wall Between Us.” The musical performance depicts the winding love affair of two men, an Israeli Jew from Jerusalem and a Palestinian Muslim from the West Bank. The piece was written by Broadway director Or Matias with entirely original music, performed by Ala Dakka and Eyal Sherf, with Mike Cohen on flute, Dillon Condor on guitar and mandolin, and Dan Weiner on percussion.
