Sheila Lambert Z”L

Sheila was a corporate executive with extensive experience in Human Resources and General Management, both at the Dun and Bradstreet Corporation and Moody’s Investors Service. Sheila’s volunteer commitments focused on education, Jewish continuity and education, women’s issues and the economically disadvantaged. She was a long-time board member, past president and chair emeritus of the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan. She sat on the advisory committees of the David H. Sonabend Center for Israel, named for her father, and the Lambert Center for Arts and Ideas, which her family named.

Sheila led, and was a member of, many boards including ‘Bottomless Closet,’ an organization for disadvantaged women which she founded, and ‘Project Kesher,’ where she was board chair. She was a former vice chair of the board of governors of Hebrew Union College and was a member of the advisory board for the school of communications at Northwestern University.
